Job Summary
Lead the Department of Family Medicine & Community Health's clinical, educational, and research missions as Professor and Chair, reporting to the Dean of the Medical School. Serve as the Family Medicine Clinical Service Unit Leader within University of Minnesota Physicians and build multidisciplinary partnerships to advance research and innovation. Mentor faculty and trainees while overseeing the department's 10 residency programs and four fellowships, which train 167 residents and fellows annually. Hold an MD or DO degree, be board certified in Family Medicine, and maintain eligibility for Minnesota medical licensure. The role supports the Medical School's healthy aging strategy through the new Division of Geriatrics and Palliative Care. Candidates must be nationally recognized academic physician leaders with experience managing complex clinical and academic enterprises.
