Job Summary
Lead the MCHS Family Medicine department to achieve Category One status by defining and implementing a strategic plan that ensures quality, safety, efficiency, and staff satisfaction. Collaborate with state vice chairs to provide operational, clinical, and financial oversight, track performance measures, and develop replicable standards of care across Wisconsin and Minnesota sites. Drive recruitment, manage practice operations, align resources to advance departmental goals, and foster research and education programs while maintaining an active clinical practice and patient panel. Represent MCHS in Enterprise meetings, mentor staff, and exemplify Mayo Clinic values through servant leadership and open dialogue.
Required Qualifications
- Must be board-certified in Family Medicine
- Must have or be able to obtain a Wisconsin and/or Minnesota medical license
- Possesses leadership experience, preferably in managing a Family Medicine department or serving in an institutional leadership role
- Successful leadership role in academic medicine and/or community healthcare
- The ideal candidate will be an associate professor or professor of medicine
- The ideal candidate will be an academically active leader
- Must maintain an active clinical practice
- Must manage patient panel within Mayo Clinic Health System
