Chair - Marketing Committee (Volunteer) - Remote

Job Summary
Provide strategic counsel to the marketing team and Board via the CEO on objectives, brand positioning, and fundraising outcomes. Recruit, onboard, and chair a committee of six to eight volunteer marketing professionals, facilitating monthly meetings to drive actionable recommendations. Develop a strategic communications roadmap that integrates marketing, PR, and fundraising while leveraging external networks to amplify reach. Uphold organizational values, manage reputational risks, and ensure governance compliance for all committee activities. Commit approximately half a day per week with twelve annual meetings in a hybrid format.
Required Qualifications
- Senior or executive-level experience in marketing, communications, media, digital marketing or a related discipline
- A track record of building, leading and influencing high-performing marketing teams or advisory groups, and managing significant campaigns
- Experience building marketing capability, digital engagement strategies and growing audiences or communities
- Credibility working with senior leaders, Boards, advisory groups or volunteer organisations
- Strong stakeholder management, relationship-building and communication skills
- Established professional networks across media, corporate, marketing and community sectors
- A strategic mindset that connects brand, communications, fundraising, customer experience and growth objectives
- Not-for-profit experience
- Approximately half a day per week
- A minimum of 12 committee meetings a year
- Hybrid format availability
- Ability to immerse yourself in a Tour de Cure event
