Job Summary

Lead the leadership and administration of departmental efforts in teaching, research, and service, including budgeting, fiscal management, and personnel management. Oversee curriculum development and delivery across undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs while recruiting, developing, and retaining faculty, staff, and students. Manage interactions with faculty and staff in other academic units and research centers within the School of Pharmacy. Fulfill duties consistent with a faculty title in teaching and research, supported by a distinguished publication record and extramural funding success.

Required Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in a closely related field to one of the four divisions in the Department of BioMolecular Sciences (Environmental Toxicology, Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmacognosy, and Pharmacology)
  • nationally-recognized research program, as evidenced by a distinguished publication record
  • recurrent as well as current success in securing competitive extramural funding
  • teaching, leadership and management experience within an academic setting
  • track record and experience commensurate with appointment as Associate or Full Professor within the School of Pharmacy
  • proven administrative skills, including budgeting and fiscal management
  • personnel management (preferably in an academic setting)
  • commitment to excellence in graduate biomedical education
  • commitment to excellence in pharmacy education
  • commitment to the recruitment, professional development and retention of faculty, staff and students
  • duties consistent with their faculty title in teaching and research

  • a cover letter (including a description of qualifications, administrative philosophy and vision)
