Job Summary
Conduct structural steel surveys, perform data collection, and assist with survey computations. Train lower-level technicians on equipment usage, methods, and safety standards while ensuring crew accuracy and production. Communicate field abnormalities to the Party Chief and maintain all survey equipment for cleanliness and operational readiness. Assist with duties as assigned by the Party Chief. Requires Local 3 Union membership, high school diploma, structural steel survey experience, and valid driver's license. Ability to travel throughout the Western US on short notice, stand up to 12 hours per day, and work overhead in various weather conditions is essential. OSHA 10 certification and lift certification are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Member of the Local 3 Union
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Structural Steel Survey Experience
- Ability to travel throughout the Western US on short notice
- Valid State driver's license, including an MVR record that is deemed acceptable by the company
- Continued employment is dependent on meeting project specific requirements
- Ability to Lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds
- Walk over rough and uneven terrain carrying equipment
- Move in and around confined and cluttered places
- Stand up to 12 hours per day
- Work overhead
- Use hands to grasp and arms to reach
- Be willing to work exposed to the elements and at extreme heights
- Perform tasks and ability to work outside in various types of weather conditions
Desired Qualifications
- CAD capability is a plus
- OSHA 10 Certification preferred
- Lift certification preferred
