Job Summary
CH-47 Aircraft Mechanic 2 with A&P or FCC required, performing maintenance and inspections to FAA standards on CH-47 systems. Responsibilities include full-range military tactical aircraft maintenance, installation, connection, and adjustment of fuel, hydraulic, engine, and transmission systems; aligning fuselage parts; rigging flight-control systems; applying authorized modifications; conducting operational checks with external power and ground equipment; troubleshooting and disassembling for repair; using hand tools, gauges, torque wrenches, and diagnostic equipment. Must read and apply technical data and possess strong mechanical, electrical, and electronic knowledge; physically able to climb, lift, and deploy internationally. Requires High School diploma or equivalent, 5 years relevant experience, FAA A&P OR FCC (Elements 1 and 3); willingness to obtain FCC if needed, and eligibility to obtain US government security clearances (NAC-I T1). US passport required for deployment to Germany and Greece; travel as required. US Citizenship required for T1/CAC/NACI clearance. Limited biometric/clearance constraints and a caution against fraudulent communications are noted.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate or equivalent is required
- FAA A&P OR FCC Elements 1 and 3 is Required
- With the Required FAA (A&P): Two (2) years aviation maintenance experience, and Two (2) years on the assigned (CH-47) MDS
- Without FAA A&P, candidate must possess or obtain an FCC License with (Elements 1 and 3) And have Three (3) years Aviation maintenance experience, Three (3) years rotary wing aircraft experience and two (2) years on the assigned (CH-47) MDS
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance, NAC-I T1 Public Trust
- US Citizenship is required to obtain a T1/CAC NACI Clearance
- Interim NACI approval required for deployment
- Travel: As required in support of task order
