Job Summary
Budget Analyst II at UCAR/NSF NCAR CGD Budget Office. Responsible for leading proposal submissions and post-award administration, including preparing forms and budgets for online submissions (Research.gov, Grants.gov, NSPIRES), tracking proposal status, and generating ad hoc reports. Oversees subawards, award setup in Workday, and comprehensive post-award financial activities (spend monitoring, NCEs, and closeouts). Supports CGD financial tracking, analyzes expenditures, and communicates budget forecasts to PIs and CGD leadership; maintains knowledge of NSF/UCAR sponsor guidelines and serves as a financial subject-matter expert for the CGD team. Provides backup support, participates in committees, and contributes to institutional financial processes and reporting. Flexible work arrangements are available with on-site presence in Boulder, CO, within the U.S., and hybrid options may be available.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant academic discipline, plus five years of related experience, or a Master’s plus three years, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
