Job Summary
Deliver goal-directed supports and solution-focused interventions to children and youth under age 21 who are Medicaid eligible, including intensive counseling, crisis avoidance, and intermediate-term crisis management. Provide rehabilitative psychoeducation and strength-based service planning to minimize symptom interference and develop functional goals. Engage families and caregivers in treatment planning and assist clients in applying treatment methods within community settings such as homes, schools, and social environments. Complete progress notes timely per regulatory requirements and participate in staff meetings and department planning. Perform on-call consultation duties as assigned and manage time effectively to serve a culturally diverse population.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or higher
- Master's Degree from an accredited program
- Social Work
- Psychology
- Rehabilitation Counseling
- related area
- Valid and current NYS driver's license
- clean MVR
- Availability to work as needed
- Willingness to respond to the needs of a culturally diverse population
- Ability to manage time and workload effectively
- Problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing
- Ability to lift 25 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred Experience in providing therapy/treatment services for at-risk youth and families
