Job Summary
CFO Consultant to serve a dynamic portfolio of companies in the Denver market. Take direct ownership of accounting operations (month-end close, financial statement prep, reconciliations, cash flow forecasting, and audit readiness) while enforcing internal controls to ensure GAAP/regulatory compliance. Lead buy-side M&A from target ID through post-close integration, including due diligence, valuation, and LBO modeling. Manage multi-entity consolidations for global footprints, navigate cross-border compliance, and support international market expansion. Serve as strategic partner to CEOs/boards/investors; drive budgeting/long-range planning; mentor finance teams; and lead ERP and data analytics initiatives to sharpen financial visibility and decision-making.
Required Qualifications
- CPA required
- MBA strongly preferred
- 12+ years of progressive financial leadership
- 5+ years in a CFO or VP of Finance capacity
- hands-on accounting experience with close processes and financial statement preparation
- buy-side M&A experience with due diligence, valuation, and post-close integration
- international finance experience including multi-currency consolidations and cross-border regulatory compliance
- GAAP expertise and strong financial modeling (Excel)
- ERP proficiency (NetSuite, SAP, or equivalent) and IFRS knowledge a plus
