Job Summary
Lead senior-level engineering assignments involving complex CFD projects and cross-functional coordination across Brazil and global markets. Plan, conduct, and supervise technical safety and risk studies including fire/explosion modeling, dispersion analysis, and HAZOP/LOPA assessments. Assist in developing business plans, annual budgets, and rule changes while serving as Account Manager to promote services to upstream, midstream, and downstream clients. Maintain active awareness of technical developments, initiate contacts with key officials, and represent the company at conferences to resolve critical issues. Ensure technical quality and timeliness of all projects while advising senior management on market opportunities and technical needs.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
- Graduate from University and a minimum of 15 years of related industry experience
- M.Sc. or postgraduate qualification in Safety Engineering, Process Safety, or related field
- Experience in international business and technical processes, as well as international requirements and problem resolution
- Strong experience in advanced CFD modelling applied to risk and safety
- Experience in analyses related to fire, explosion, dispersion, and detection studies
- Fluent Portuguese and English
- Strong report writing, communication, and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and deliver high-quality technical work in a consulting environment

- Experience in QRA, vulnerability analysis, PHAST, and/or SAFETI
- Knowledge of Human Factors, including: Human Reliability Analysis (HRA)
- Knowledge of Human Factors, including: Human Factors Engineering (HFE)
- Familiarity with Petro-HRA
- Familiarity with Brazilian regulations and industry requirements, including Petrobras guidelines, ANP requirements, and applicable NRs
- Experience across upstream, downstream, and midstream
- Knowledge of Python, VBA, or other programming/automation tools
