Job Summary
CFD Engineer - Mechanical sought to design, coordinate, and run CFD modeling for data-center projects using Cadence Reality DC and related tools. Responsibilities include creating exterior/interior CFD designs, coordinating with project management to produce construction documents and specifications, performing advanced CFD simulations (flow, heat transfer, turbulence), developing initial conditions, validating results, and preparing reports. The role requires independently performing simulations, QA/QC peer reviews, client discussions to present findings, and contributing to proposals with scope, schedule, and budget. Hybrid remote option available if not located near a local engineering office; limited travel (10-20%).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent
- 5-15 years experience designing data center CFD
- Knowledge of fluid mechanics principles
- Skilled with CFD methods (finite volume/element)
- Experience with CFD software such as 6Sigma by Future Facilities / Cadence Reality DC / Star CCM+ / Autodesk CFD
- 3D modeling and CAD for CFD
- Experience with JAVA or Python scripting; Linux and HPC OS a plus
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Hybrid remote if not near local engineering office; travel 10-20%
