Job Summary
CFD Engineer - Mechanical role focused on designing, coordinating, and running CFD models for data center facilities. Responsibilities include creating exterior/interior CFD models with Cadence Reality DC and Datacenter Design Pro, coordinating with engineering and project management teams to produce construction documents and specifications, performing advanced CFD simulations (flow, heat transfer, turbulence), validating results, and developing proposals with simulation scopes and budgets. Requirements include a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent), 5-15 years CFD experience, proficiency with CFD tools (6SigmaRoom/Future Facilities, Cadence Reality DC, Star CCM+, and AutoCAD/Revit), scripting in Java/Python, Linux/HPC familiarity, and strong communication skills. Hybrid remote work is available if not located near a local office, with limited travel (10-20%).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent
- 5-15 years experience in CFD design for data centers
- Experience with CFD software: 6SigmaRoom by Future Facilities, Cadence Reality DC, Star CCM+, AutoCAD or Revit
- Programming/scripting experience in Java or Python
- Familiarity with Linux and HPC environments
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and with clients
- Hybrid remote work option (if not located near a local office) and travel 10-20%
