Job Summary

CFD Engineer - Mechanical design for data center facilities. Responsibilities include creating CFD models (exterior and interior) using Cadence Reality DC and Datacenter Design Pro, coordinating with the Engineering and Project Management teams to produce construction documents and specifications, and performing independent, advanced CFD simulations (flow, heat transfer, turbulence). The role involves QA/QC of simulations, preparing validation reports, presenting findings to clients, and supporting proposals with scope, schedule, and budget. Requires 5-15 years of CFD experience in data centers, a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, and proficiency with CFD tools (6Sigma/Reality DC, Star CCM+, AutoCAD/Revit, Autodesk CFD). Hybrid remote arrangement if not near a local office with 10-20% travel; prior Military/Military Veterans experience is a plus. Strong communication and scripting skills (JAVA/Python) and familiarity with Linux/HPC environments are preferred.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent
  • 5-15 years experience designing data center CFD
  • PE or EIT a plus
  • Experience with JAVA or Python scripting; Linux and HPC O/S a plus
  • MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Hybrid remote if not located near a local engineering office; Limited travel (10-20%)
  • Experience with Electrical / Mechanical: Navy nukes - EMN, ETN, MMNs, Seabee's, Army - Power Generation, Air Force – Power Production, Generator Techs, Maritime, Coast Guard, Army National Guard, etc.
