Job Summary
CFD Design Engineer responsible for developing complex CFD models to validate data center design and performance inside data halls and for external cooling equipment; perform heating/cooling load calculations, equipment sizing, and engineering studies under the Lead Engineer; select equipment from catalogs, conduct site visits (<5% travel), attend client meetings when needed, and contribute to a team-driven design process using Revit/AutoCAD and HVAC modeling tools; engage with ESOP-focused, hybrid-friendly firm culture offering a path to leadership and ongoing professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors’ degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (BSME, BSMET, or equivalent) or equivalent technical training/certification
- 1 – 5 years’ experience at MEP firm with fundamental knowledge of mechanical system design
- Understanding and knowledge of applicable codes
- Fundamental knowledge of mechanical concepts
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings
- High degree of analytical skill and ability
- Possess general understanding of applicable building codes, consults with engineer regarding building code requirements
- Knowledge of mechanical HVAC systems concepts and design
- Proficiency in Revit / AutoCAD
- Proficiency with industry software such as Trane Trace, Carrier HAP and other HVAC modeling tools
