Job Summary
Technical Expert (Consultant) to support the development of the Compendium of Best Practices on Disaster Management: Commemorating 20 Years of AADMER. Responsibilities include desk reviews, developing the Compendium outline, consolidating stakeholder contributions, preparing draft and final versions, and providing drafting, synthesis, and editorial support under IOM coordination. Work involves research, drafting, editing, quality assurance, and knowledge-management activities, with remote/home-based engagement and potential travel to ASEAN Member States. Requirements include English language proficiency and relevant experience in producing strategic knowledge products on disaster management; nationality restrictions apply to ASEAN Member States. The consultancy will deliver outputs that document ASEAN’s achievements, best practices, and lessons learned across regional and national levels, contributing to the AADMER Work Programme 2026-2030.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field
- English language proficiency
- experience in desk review, drafting, synthesis and editorial support for reports
- ability to work in a remote/home-based consultancy
- capacity to travel to ASEAN Member States as required
