Job Summary
Deliver autonomous planned, preventative, and reactive plumbing maintenance across the University of Auckland campus portfolio. Diagnose and resolve plumbing faults, service hot water systems, and complete small project works while certifying and signing off on all completed tasks. Maintain accurate job notes, reports, and work close-outs, sourcing materials and obtaining supplier quotations. Ensure full compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and HSSEQ requirements while building positive relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders. Participate in an on-call roster and work independently within a supportive team culture.
Required Qualifications
- Current New Zealand Plumber Registration
- Current PGDB Practising Licence
- Full New Zealand Driver Licence
- Minimum five years' experience in commercial plumbing maintenance
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving capability
- Experience working with commercial and domestic hot water systems
- Sound understanding of Health & Safety requirements and compliance standards
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- Strong digital and documentation skills
Desired Qualifications
- Gasfitting certification or experience
- Drainlaying registration
- Backflow prevention certification
- First Aid, Confined Space or Working at Heights qualifications
- Facilities Management industry experience
- Experience working in tertiary education, healthcare, government or large commercial facilities
