As a Youth Peer Support Specialist, you will engage with youth and young adults, providing support based on your own lived experiences with mental health challenges. Required Qualifications
- Direct lived experience with mental health challenges as a youth
- Certified Youth Peer Support Specialist
- Minimum of 32 hours of approved training every two years
- Ages 18 through 28
- Primary diagnosis of a mental health condition
- At least one year of mental health treatment experience
- Strong personal knowledge of mental health conditions
Desired Qualifications
- Experience receiving services in child welfare
- Experience in education, justice system, vocation, housing
