Job Summary
Perform diagnostic X-ray examinations at skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, private homes, and rehabilitation centers across Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, and the Bronx. Travel to assigned service locations as needed, position patients, and operate portable X-ray equipment while adhering to radiation safety protocols and ALARA principles. Verify patient identification, confirm physician orders, and maintain accurate documentation for all procedures. Communicate effectively with patients, facility staff, and referring physicians, while properly maintaining mobile X-ray equipment and following infection control protocols. Collaborate with the driver and support team to ensure timely service delivery. This flexible part-time role offers a competitive hourly rate of $50, with transportation and all necessary equipment provided.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in radiologic technology, radiology, or a related field
- Must have a New York State License
- Must have at least 1 year of experience as an X-ray Technologist
- Must be willing to travel across Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, and the Bronx, based on where X-ray services are needed
Desired Qualifications
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) Certification is preferred
- Medical background (EMT, CMA, Medical Assistant) is preferred
