Job Summary
Perform diagnostic X-ray examinations at mobile service locations including skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, private homes, and rehabilitation centers. Travel across Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, and the Bronx to provide mobile X-ray services using portable equipment. Position patients, operate portable X-ray equipment, and obtain high-quality diagnostic images while adhering to ALARA radiation-safety principles. Verify patient identification and physician orders, maintain documentation, and communicate effectively with patients, facility staff, and referring physicians. Maintain and care for mobile X-ray equipment, follow infection-control protocols, and coordinate with the driver and support team to ensure timely service delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in radiologic technology, radiology, or a related field
- New York State License
- ARRT Certification preferred
- At least 1 year of X-ray Technologist experience
