Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Technician

Job Summary
Perform bolted and welded structural connection reviews on building constructions sites and fabrication shop inspections, and conduct NDT of welds and structural members using UT and MT (PT less frequent). Field witnessing, sample collection and lab testing as needed (including welder performance and procedure qualifications, load testing of assemblies). Travel to sites throughout the state and occasional travel to other states; strong emphasis on documenting observations and communicating findings to clients and team members.
Required Qualifications
- A current American Welding Society (AWS) Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification
- Quality Control (QC) or Quality Assurance (QA) related NDT experience with one or more current ASNT SNT-TC-1A, Level II certification for UT, MT, and/or PT; or relevant NDT training log documentation that would qualify for pursuing examination and certification in these methods
- High School Diploma or GED
- Proficient with commonly used computer programs and phone apps (e.g. Microsoft Word/Excel, PDFs, email, web browsers, maps)
- Ability to handle physical demands (lifting up to 50lbs), wear PPE, and travel to sites across locations
- Ability to work from heights and in various environments in accordance with OSHA safety protocols
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members
- Ethical conduct and strict adherence to safety protocols
