Job Summary
The Welder, Certified performs diversified welding and fabrication on complex assemblies and structures, including structural steel repairs for the rental fleet, following AWS D1.1 3G certification standards. Responsibilities include reviewing work orders and prints, planning welding sequence, cutting, fitting, welding with MIG/Flux Core, oxy-fuel/plasma cutting, fabricating components, maintaining weld quality, preparing base metal, ensuring safety and housekeeping, and assisting with dismantling/repair tasks as assigned. Requires strong attention to detail, professional communication, teamwork, and safety compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of three (3) years welding experience
- Valid 3G AWS D1.1 structural steel welding certification from an AWS D1.1 testing facility (MIG or Flux Core)
- Ability to obtain forklift certification as required
- Valid driver’s license
