Certified Vision Rehabilitation Therapist

Provide individualized vision rehabilitation instruction and support to adults and children who are legally blind, promoting independence, safety, and overall well-being. Conduct ongoing assessments to identify strengths, needs, barriers, and goals related to vision loss and develop services accordingly. Connect consumers with adaptive equipment, community resources, and additional support services to maximize functioning and independence. Build and maintain collaborative relationships with healthcare providers, community agencies, low vision specialists, and other service providers to ensure coordinated, culturally competent care. Complete required documentation, case records, reporting, and NYSCB contract outcomes while participating in professional development and supporting staff training. This full-time role offers a salary of $55,000 - $60,000 annually at Aurora of CNY, an affiliate of Liberty Resources, dedicated to promoting independence for individuals with vision loss.
