Job Summary
As part of the Oncology Team, the Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) will work closely with Board-C Certified Oncologists to manage complex cancer cases, administer chemotherapy and anesthesia for procedures, and educate pet owners on treatment plans and home care. Responsibilities include chemotherapy administration, venipuncture, IV catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring for biopsies or imaging, diagnostic support, client advocacy, and detailed electronic medical records management. The role emphasizes safety, meticulous documentation, compassionate communication with pet families, and collaboration within a high-performing veterinary oncology team. Experience required: CVT in good standing with a minimum of 2 years clinical experience; oncology experience preferred but training offered.
