Job Summary
Certified Veterinary Technician needed at AOSN's Pet Dentist; responsibilities include assisting in surgery, phlebotomy, IV catheter placement, anesthesia induction/monitoring, restraint of animals, client education, record keeping, dispensing medications, and performing front-office duties as needed. Must be able to lift 40 pounds, work long hours, and thrive in a team environment. Comprehensive benefits and a $500 sign-on bonus after 90-day probation. Location: Wesley Chapel, FL. 4/10 work week; CE opportunities; uniforms and pet-care discounts available.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience or training / education in a veterinary facility required
- Must be friendly, outgoing, “people oriented”
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be capable of being cross-trained for front office receptionist duties
- Must be a team player willing to learn new techniques, treatments, and accept change
- Phlebotomy
- IV Catheter placement
- Preparing and restraining animals during procedures
- Anesthetic induction
- Anesthetic monitoring
- Assisting in surgery
- Ability to use a stethoscope
- Advising pet owners on proper care
