Job Summary

Conduct compassionate, cutting-edge care for patients with neurological conditions alongside specialists in a collaborative, VECCS Level I environment. Manage anesthetic protocols and surgical procedures while performing restraint, venipuncture, and anesthesia. Provide nursing care and husbandry for admitted patients, utilizing knowledge of basic laboratory tests and veterinary instruments. Deliver strong communication with clients and colleagues to navigate interpersonal interactions effectively. Work 4 days a week in 10-hour shifts, including weekend rotations and holidays, starting at $25.00-$32.00/hour with a $1,000 sign-on bonus. Required Qualifications

  • Certified Veterinary Technician
  • 1-3 years Veterinary Technician experience
  • Must be 18 years or older to apply
  • Weekend shifts and holidays are required
  • 4 days a week / 10-hour shifts
  • Strong communication skills both with clients and colleagues
  • Comfortable with restraint
  • Comfortable with venipuncture
  • Comfortable with anesthesia
  • Experience providing nursing care and husbandry for admitted patients
  • Knowledge of basic laboratory tests
  • Knowledge of the use, care, and storage of veterinary instruments, materials, and equipment
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing client and personal services
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments

Desired Qualifications

  • Associates in Veterinary Technology
  • CVT license
  • Phlebotomy
  • IV Catheterization (peripheral)
  • Experience with CPR
  • Experience with EzyVet
  • Experience with SmartFlow
  • Genuine passion for anesthetic protocols and surgical procedures
