Job Summary
Deliver compassionate nursing care to canine and feline patients by obtaining histories, performing physical assessments, and safely restraining patients using a Fear Free approach. Collect laboratory samples, perform in-house diagnostics, place IV catheters, and administer medications as directed. Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia while assisting veterinarians during surgical and dental procedures. Capture high-quality diagnostic radiographs and educate clients on preventive care and home treatment plans. Collaborate with teammates to provide outstanding patient care and an exceptional client experience. Requires current Pennsylvania CVT licensure, ability to lift 50 pounds, and flexibility for evening and weekend shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Current Pennsylvania Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT) or eligibility for licensure
- Previous veterinary experience preferred
- Strong technical nursing and patient care skills
- Excellent communication and client education skills
- Compassionate, dependable, and self-motivated
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Positive, collaborative team player
- Comfortable working evenings and weekends as needed
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with assistance when necessary
