Job Summary
Certified Veterinary Technician at All Care Animal Hospital in Minneola, FL will assist the Veterinarian in diagnosing and treating pets in a small animal practice. Responsibilities include maintaining patient medical records, preparing procedures for Veterinarians, restraining and handling animals during exams, collecting histories, performing prep work for examinations and surgeries, conducting laboratory tests, taking X-rays, administering vaccines and medications under supervision, and educating clients on pet health, nutrition, and preventative care. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 1+ year veterinary medicine experience
- Knowledge of veterinary hospital practices and procedures

- Professional, caring, compassionate, and tactful interaction with clients and staff
- Basic knowledge of drugs used in veterinary practice (generic/brand names, uses, side effects)

- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Practice Management software (PIMS)
- Basic written and verbal communication skills with a customer-oriented approach
