Required Qualifications
- College or college-equivalent education as required in becoming a Registered Veterinary Technician
- Experience in a veterinary hospital/clinic
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds
- Must be willing to work long or irregular hours
- Willingness to cross-train for front office receptionist duties, telephone and computer skills are necessary
- Phlebotomy
- IV catheter placement
- Anesthetic induction
- Anesthetic monitoring
- Assisting in surgery
- Advising pet owners on proper care
