Job Summary
Join Annandale Village as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist responsible for planning and implementing quality recreation, leisure, and physical fitness programs for individuals with developmental disabilities. You will assess interests and abilities, facilitate Community Inclusion opportunities, and collaborate with therapy groups to support training routines. The role involves documenting activities, planning events including Special Olympics, and maintaining safety within the Program Center. Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree and fulfill background checks and health screenings. The position requires adaptability to meet diverse needs and physical capabilities of the Villagers.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Valid Class C Georgia Driver’s License
- Proof of vehicle insurance
- Meet company policy regarding MVR requirements
- Must meet state requirements regarding a GBI and FBI criminal history record check
- Must undergo and pass a drug screening and screening for Tuberculosis
