Job Summary
Deliver educational services in accordance with Oakland Schools' Aspire Program policies, utilizing specialized methodologies to support students with diverse learning needs. Collaborate with clinical staff on assigned cases to provide feedback on educational requirements and monitor student progress toward Individualized Education Program goals. Maintain accurate documentation of parent and student conferences, submit required reports, and promptly inform administrators of concerns regarding progress, behavior, or truancy. Assist students and parents with placement, curriculum, and instruction concerns while working across the Clarkston and Farmington Hills offices as program census dictates.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Michigan Professional Teaching Certificate
- Valid driver's license
- Approved driving record that meets facility and insurance requirements
- Proficiency in using computers, phones, and office equipment for documentation and telehealth purposes
- Proficiency in Office 365
- Proficiency in Electronic Medical Record systems

- Special Education Endorsement in Learning Disabilities
- Proficiency in data entry and electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Strong multitasking, self-motivational and time management abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to effectively engage diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults
- Skilled in building rapport with consumers, ensuring trust and a strong therapeutic alliance
- Ability to adapt to classroom environment while maintaining an even temper
