Job Summary
Teach district-approved curriculum and develop differentiated lessons for ALE students through small group, one-on-one, and whole group instruction. Maintain accurate student records, adapt interventions based on behavioral and academic status, and collaborate with stakeholders to maximize student success. Participate in placement conferences, develop individualized Student Action Plans, and communicate regularly with parents regarding progress. Ensure a safe, orderly classroom environment while supervising students during all assigned classes and activities. Adhere to Arkansas Code of Ethics and district policies, with a focus on adolescent behavior and at-risk student support.
Required Qualifications
- current, valid teaching license
- Bachelor's degree
- current Arkansas teaching license
- Licensure in assigned areas and/or AQT documentation
Desired Qualifications
- SPED certification preferred
- willing to become certified in SPED
- Knowledge and experience in adolescent behavior issues and psychology
- Deep concern for fostering constructive adolescent behavior, especially in support of social, emotional, behavioral and academic achievement
- Experience working with at-risk students is preferred
- Positive attitude
