Job Summary
Certified Surgical Technologist responsible for assisting in surgical procedures under the guidance of RNs, including processing instruments for sterilization, maintaining aseptic technique, coordinating supplies and equipment, and ensuring intraoperative and postoperative needs are met. Duties include anticipatory support for the surgeon, handling specimens, assisting with case carts and inventory, coordinating with staff, participating in orientation and evaluation of other staff, and contributing to teamwork and patient safety. Requires current CST certification or attainment within three months, BLS/CPR per program requirements, and ability to stand for long periods, lift, and work in a hospital setting; experience with sterile processing, instrument handling, and involvement in quality improvement and education is preferred.
Required Qualifications
