Job Summary
Flexi/PRN Certified Surgical Technologist in Charlottesville, VA at Sentara Martha Jefferson Outpatient Surgery Center. Responsibilities include preparing the operating room with instruments/equipment, passing instruments, maintaining sterile field, assisting the surgical team, applying dressings, transferring patients to recovery, and adhering to infection control protocols. Requires Virginia licensure as a Surgical Technologist and certification (CST or NBSTSA/NCCT). Benefits include medical/dental/vision, tuition assistance, and family care resources. Working hours are primarily Monday to Friday 6am–3pm with no weekends, nights, or on-call responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- Surgical Technologist licensure in the state of practice (Virginia)
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent NBSTSA/NCCT certification
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Education: Trade School Graduate – Surgical Technologist
- Strong understanding of sterile techniques and patient safety protocols
- Experience: No experience required; 1 year preferred
