Job Summary
Collect necessary supplies and instruments, prepare the operating room by opening sterile supplies and setting up tables, and assist the surgical team during operative procedures while maintaining correct instrument counts. Clean and prepare rooms between procedures and terminally clean at the end of the day, ensuring aseptic techniques are actively monitored and corrected. Complete annual age-specific accountabilities and mandatory 15 hours of surgical technology education. Report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive. This role supports Prisma Health's mission to transform healthcare for community benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program
- Surgical Technologist training in the U.S. Armed Forces
- U.S. Dept of Labor Apprenticeship Program for Surgical Technologists
- Certified as CST (Certified Surgical Tech) through NBSTSA
- Certified as TS-C (Tech in Surgery) through NCCT
- Maintains surgical technology certification
- Ability to complete 15 hours of mandatory ST education annually
