Certified Surgical Technologist - Operating Room - Full-Time & Contingent Positions Available - TH Livonia Hospital

The Surgical Technician in the Operating Room assists with surgical procedures by supplying instruments, sponges, sutures and medications, prepares the OR and maintains the sterile field, performs aseptic technique, participates in counts, and supports continuous patient care communication. Responsibilities include setting up and maintaining the sterile field, transferring and transporting instruments and supplies, and assisting the surgeon and circulating nurse as needed. Requires an Associate degree in Surgical Technology or specialized training (Armed Forces) and a minimum of 2 years of Surgical Technician experience; Surgical Technician Certification is preferred; BLS certification is required.
