Job Summary
Prepare operating rooms, surgical instruments, and sterile supplies to support efficient procedural workflow and patient safety. Assist surgical teams during procedures by maintaining sterile technique, anticipating procedural needs, and supporting effective intraoperative coordination. Support patient positioning, transfer, and perioperative care activities while monitoring for changes that may impact procedural safety. Clean, sterilize, and maintain surgical instruments and equipment in accordance with infection prevention standards and established protocols. Document surgical activities and supply usage while contributing to a safe, organized, and compliant clinical environment. Participate in emergency response and mass casualty preparedness activities as part of the broader healthcare operations team.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program or equivalent military surgical training program
- Current CST or TS-C certification
- Current BLS certification
- 3+ years of recent Surgical Technologist experience
- Recent hands-on clinical practice within the past year
- U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Valid passport
- Ability to obtain and maintain MRPT security clearance
- Ability to meet pre-deployment physical requirements
