Job Summary
Ensure safe, fluid workflows across diverse procedures by managing sterile and non-sterile suite preparation and supply management. Anticipate surgeon needs by delivering instruments and supplies with speed and accuracy while prioritizing patient safety through precise instrument counts and sterile field management. Provide essential clinical support during patient transport, draping, and intraoperative hemostasis. This role requires NBSTSA or NCCT certification, BLS within 30 days, and a high school diploma with experience or an associate degree. Join Ascension St. Vincent's St Johns County Hospital as a day or PRN surgical technologist.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted
- Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
- Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience
- Associate's degree/Technical degree
- 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience
