Job Summary
Certified Surgical Technician needed at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. The role performs intra-operative patient care under RN supervision in the OR, interacting with patients and healthcare team to maintain surgical standards. Requires graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology Program with an Associates Degree, current BLS, and certification in Surgical Technology (or equivalent military training or recent practice in a health facility). Previous experience is preferred; strong technical/mechanical ability, manual dexterity, sound judgment, and ability to work under crisis and stress are essential. Works 7:00 am–3:30 pm in Wilkes-Barre, PA.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology Program
- Associates Degree
- Current BLS certification
- Must hold and maintain a certification from an accredited Surgical Technologist program OR completed training in Surgical Technology programs in the Army/Navy/Air Force/Marines/Coast Guard OR employed to practice Surgical Technology in past two years
