Job Summary
Prepare surgical cases by creating and maintaining sterile fields, retracting and passing instruments, and supplying medications during procedures. Accurately check required supplies and equipment, assemble operative instrumentation, and set up sterile fields demonstrating careful aseptic technique. Collect case data based on Performance Standards of Care, complete instrument and sponge counts with the Registered Nurse, and transport patients according to unit schedules. Perform housekeeping duties and provide clerical support as requested. Requires Certified Surgery Technician (CST) certification, BLS or CPR certification, and recent open-heart or cardiothoracic experience. Located in San Joaquin County, Adventist Health Lodi Memorial serves the local community with a 190-bed hospital and extensive care services.
Required Qualifications
- High School Education/GED or equivalent
- Certified Surgery Technician (CST) certification or Tech in Surgery TS-C (NCCT) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) or Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Tech in Surgery (NCCT-ST)
- All required vaccinations
- E-Verify participation acknowledgment
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience
- Scrub technician experience
- Operating room experience and/or training course
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
