Job Summary
Prepare surgical cases by creating and maintaining sterile fields, retracting instruments, and passing supplies to surgeons. Accurately check required equipment, assemble operative instrumentation, and set up sterile fields adhering to aseptic technique. Collect case data based on Performance Standards of Care, complete instrument counts with the Registered Nurse, and transport patients per unit schedules. Perform housekeeping duties and provide clerical support as assigned. Requires Certified Surgery Technician (CST) certification, BLS or CPR, and recent open-heart or cardiothoracic experience. Located in San Joaquin County, Adventist Health Lodi Memorial offers a 190-bed hospital environment within a close-knit community.
Required Qualifications
- High School Education/GED or equivalent
- Certified Surgery Technician (CST) certification or Tech in Surgery TS-C (NCCT) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) or Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Tech in Surgery (NCCT-ST)
- All required vaccinations
- Acknowledgement of E-Verify Participation and Right to Work notices
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience
- Scrub technician experience
- Operating room experience and/or training course
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
