Job Summary
Prepare surgical cases by creating and maintaining sterile fields, retracting instruments, and passing supplies to surgeons during procedures. Accurately check required supplies and equipment prior to each case, assemble operative instrumentation, and set up sterile fields demonstrating careful aseptic technique. Collect data on assigned surgical cases based on Performance Standards of Care, complete instrument and sponge counts with the Registered Nurse, and transport patients according to unit schedules. Perform housekeeping duties, clean equipment and facilities, and provide clerical support as requested. Requires Certified Surgical Technician (CST) certification, Basic Life Support (BLS), and a high school diploma. Adventist Health Lodi Memorial, a faith-based nonprofit serving over 100 communities, is located in the heart of San Joaquin County.
Required Qualifications
- High School Education/GED or equivalent
- Certified Surgery Technician (CST) certification or Tech in Surgery TS-C (NCCT) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) or Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Tech in Surgery (NCCT-ST)
- All required vaccinations
- E-Verify participation
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience
- Scrub technician experience
- Operating room experience and/or training course
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
