Certified Surgical Tech

Surgical Technician – Certified works with the surgical team in the operating room to prepare and maintain a sterile field, anticipate the surgeon’s needs, and handle instruments and supplies to support safe, high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include setting up instruments and equipment, maintaining asepsis, passing instruments during procedures, inspecting and sterilizing equipment, counting items with the circulating nurse, assisting with patient positioning and transfer, maintaining physician preference cards and documentation, restocking supplies, cleaning and returning equipment, and ensuring room readiness. Requires CST certification and BLS, with 0–2 years of OR experience.
