Job Summary
Part-time Certified Surgical Tech in Hendersonville, NC. Supports the surgical team by anticipating the needs of the surgeon, maintaining aseptic technique, assembling supplies, equipment and medications prior to procedures, and ensuring efficient operating room turnover. Supervises other healthcare team members in the surgical environment, assists with orientation and training, promotes patient and team satisfaction, adheres to infection control practices, regulatory standards, and performance-improvement initiatives. Requires BLS, CST NBSTSA or NTSC certification, and an Associate/Technical/Vocational education background with 1–2+ years of relevant experience. Required Qualifications
- State Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) OR NBSTSA Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) OR Technician in Surgery - Certified (NTSC)
- Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS)
- Associate degree (Preferred) OR High School Diploma (Required) OR Technical/Vocational School (Preferred)
- 1+ years relevant experience (Preferred)
- 2+ years of technical experience in the field (Preferred)
- Knowledge of aseptic/sterile technique and surgical instrumentation
- Ability to work with multiple team members
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends
- Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English
