CERTIFIED SURGICAL TECH (CST) - PRN

Perform patient care activities by assisting with positioning, protecting nerve and bony provinces, and maintaining body alignment to ensure vascular flow and unencumbered respiratory ventilation. Prepare the surgical suite by cleaning, stocking, and replacing supplies, while opening sterile items using aseptic techniques and ensuring field integrity. Set up sterile tables with instruments, sutures, and electrosurgical equipment, scrub according to policy, and identify specimens following surgeon instructions. Hands instruments to the surgeon, holds retractors, cuts sutures, and prepares instruments for decontamination. Comply with center protocols for equipment maintenance and participate in room turnover and crisis situations. Requires high school diploma, formal O.R. Technician training, and CST certification. Two-year commitment required; $3,000 sign-on bonus available after probation.
