Job Summary

Assist the surgeon in outpatient procedures by providing exposure, maintaining hemostasis, and performing technical functions such as making incisions, manipulating tissues, implanting devices, and applying dressings. Requires current CSFA certification, AHA/BLS/HCP, and ACLS preferred. Experience as a Surgical Technologist or CSFA required; one or more years as a CSFA preferred. Work Monday-Friday day shift hours with no holidays, weekends, or call.

Required Qualifications

  • CSFA (Certified Surgical First Assist) certification by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)
  • Current CSFA certification
  • Current AHA, BLS, HCP Certification
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Experience as a Surgical Technologist or as a CSFA
  • One or more years of experience as CSFA
  • Experience at a Level 1 or 2 Trauma Center
  • Experience in cardiac, robotics, vascular, orthopedics, neurosurgery, transplant surgery
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology Program
  • Military training program
  • Master of Surgical Assisting Degree
  • LPN
  • Work all three shifts, weekends and holidays
  • Takes call for routine or high acuity cases after the orientation period
