Certified Surg Tech – Travel Job

Job Summary
Prepare the operating room, sterilize and set up equipment, assist with instrumentation and device use, and support the surgical team to promote patient safety and efficient case flow. Manage neuro, ortho, robotics, and trauma cases while utilizing da Vinci systems, O-arm, and other advanced OR equipment. Work a 5x8 schedule with additional weekday and rotating weekend calls, including weekly 1–4 hour calls and alternating 12-hour weekend rotations. Complete a 12-hour orientation and chart using Epic. Maintain a driver's license to confirm radius eligibility and ensure no concurrent employment with CommonSpirit facilities.
Required Qualifications
- Current certification from a program accredited by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or equivalent
- BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a certified OR Tech / Surgical Technologist in a surgical environment
- Required clinical experience: neuro and ortho cases, robotics experience
- Comfort with a broad variety of general, GYN, GU, ortho, neuro, plastics, ENT, thoracic, endoscopy, and trauma cases
- Driver's license required at time of submittal to confirm radius eligibility
- Must meet the client radius rule: candidate cannot be employed full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit (including CHI and Dignity) and must be within the allowable radius as determined by the client
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with da Vinci robotic systems, O-arm, and other advanced OR equipment
- Experience using Epic charting system
- CST certification
- Prior experience with trauma plastics, vascular access procedures, and organ procurement
- Previous call team experience
