Job Summary
Prepare the operating room, sterilize equipment, and support the surgical team during procedures while ensuring patient safety. Participate in emergency call rotation and assist physicians and nurses in the OR environment. Requires current NBSTSA certification, BLS, and two years of surgical OR experience (or CVOR experience for cardiac positions). Shift hours are 0645-1615 for a 13-week assignment. Required Qualifications
- Current certification from a program accredited by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)
- BLS Certification
- 2 years' experience as a certified OR tech / Surg Tech in a surgical environment
- For CVOR positions, 2 years' experience as a certified CVOR technologist in a cardiac surgical environment
- CST Certification or 5 years of verified Surgical Technologist experience
- Participates in emergency call rotation
