Job Summary
Prepare the operating room, sterilize equipment, and support the surgical team during procedures while ensuring patient safety. Maintain current NBSTSA certification and BLS certification from the AHA, with at least two years of experience as a certified OR or CVOR technologist in a hospital setting. Work 3x12 shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, with weekend hours as required and an on-call rotation averaging five calls per eight weeks. Float as required by the facility.
Required Qualifications
- Current certification from a program accredited by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)
- BLS Certification
- 2 years' experience as a certified OR tech / Surg Tech in a surgical environment
- For CVOR positions, 2 years' experience as a certified CVOR technologist in a cardiac surgical environment
- Must have graduated from an accredited Surg Tech program
- BLS from AHA only
- 1 year plus Surgical Technologist experience in a hospital setting
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be available for call on scheduled days, averaging around 5 or less per 8 weeks
- Must be willing to float as required by facility
