Job Summary
Design and implement physical training programs focusing on functional movement, strength, and power development for AFSPECWAR operators and aircrew. Screen, optimize human performance, and coordinate individualized exercise programs to ensure safe returns from injury. Conduct routine performance testing, including Occupational Specific Physical Fitness Assessments, and provide instruction on physical conditioning and injury prevention. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to manage supply inventories, inspect equipment, and maintain facility safety. Submit monthly readiness reports and Human Performance Measures of Effectiveness trending metrics to leadership. Complete all required training, in-processing assessments, and participate in operator training activities to understand SOP performance and injury protocols.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of full-time experience as a Strength & Conditioning Specialist in collegiate (or higher), professional, or tactical athletics; aerospace industry, test pilot/astronaut or similar man-machine high-performance environment.
- Master's degree or higher in Human Performance, Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or a related field.
- National Strength and Conditioning (NSCA) Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) or Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Association (CSCCa) and Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC).
- Current (CPR) and (AED) trained.
- Monday – Friday, 5:30 AM – 2:30 PM; however, there may be times when it is necessary for the contractor to work after duty hours in support of specific tasks.
- U.S. citizenship.
- Minimum of a Tier 1 background check (T1)/SF85.
