Job Summary
Cleans, assembles equipment, sterilizes, and disinfects supplies, instruments, and equipment according to established policies and procedures. Performs material management functions in relation to par levels and accurately documents the sterilization process. Supports services in the perioperative setting, including the main OR, Short Stay Unit, and PACU, as well as other hospital departments. Requires certification from HSPA – CRCST or CBSPD – CSPDT and completion of a sterile processing course or equivalent work experience. Full-time evening shift from 10:00 pm to 06:30 am, Monday through Friday, with rotating weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in sterile processing
- Current certification in sterile processing
- High school diploma, G.E.D.
- Completion of a sterile processing course
- Equivalent work experience in instrument processing
- Certification from HSPA – CRCST
- Certification from CBSPD – CSPDT
